We want Eindhoven to join us in our passion for chess!
Not only do we want to host a terrific FIDE World Youth Chess Olympiad U16 in Eindhoven: we want to reach as many chess lovers in Eindhoven as possible. You get 150 years old only once. So that’s why we’re organizing a lot of side events in the city. Helping us with these events are a lot of local sponsors, entrepreneurs, and volunteers. Many thanks to all!
Are you ready for Mr. X?
There’ll be several simultaneous exhibitions for players from local clubs, local trainers are setting up workshops for kids and the mysterious Mr. X will also visit Eindhoven. We fell in love with the anonymous Spanish legend Rey Enigma. So, for our 150th birthday we have our own Dutch version: Mr. X! At the end of the year, we’ll unmask our masked hero and until that time he’ll show up to play chess. And we are very glad he’ll be in Eindhoven too.
Special promotion for Van Abbe Museum
Have we already told you that we also partnered up with the Van Abbe Museum? There will be a special promotion for entrance of the museum for all players, coaches and persons otherwise involved with the Youth Olympiad. More information will follow soon. As well will our full program of side events.
